From November 3rd to 5th, the 2023 Chinese Digestive Endoscopy Annual Meeting was held with great pomp. During the conference, the former President of the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO), Jean-Francois Rey, and the incoming President, Lars Aabakken, visited the JINSHAN booth. Wang Jinshan, Chairman of JINSHAN, and his team engaged in in-depth discussions with them regarding the clinical applications and future direction of their products.
Dr. Jean-Francois Rey, lauded JINSHAN’s capsule endoscopy systems for their high-resolution images, integrated AI functions, and, most importantly, affordability. He emphasized that this would help reduce the cost of endoscopic examinations, making them more accessible to a wider audience.
This year, Dr. Rey's clinic introduced JINSHAN’S revolutionary OMOM Robotic Capsule Endoscopy System, praising its remarkable efficacy. “you know, I used your product for six months, and it’s working very well, and it's very important because you save medical time, by the time, all the capsule examinations are all carried out by the nurse, I have nothing to do because the nurse make the swallow and the robot make the examination and then the nurse put the belt, it goes for small bowel examination, what is also important, you have AI function so that means the reading time just in five minutes compare to used reading time 40 minutes that is really a new innovation.”
Professor Lars Aabakken was also impressed, stating that it looks very good. Regarding future directions, he believes that a capsule endoscopy capable of fully automating examinations throughout the entire digestive tract, including the colon, would be exceptionally valuable.
